THE SUNFLOWER

ARROW of JUSTICE

       the 9m ‘Arrow’ rocks in the breeze, when it rains the water collected on the roof fills the back of the arrow causing it to point skyward.              the water is then dumped and the process repeats. 

SYNERGY

Berrinburra Wetlands  Logan  Queensland  Australia

when the sun shines the eagles wings flap and during the evening stored energy makes the wings glow.

WIND POWERED TOWERS

Sunnybank  Queensland  Australia

Two towers are located on either side of the road. As the wind blows mini sculptures designed by local school students spin,

 works are redesigned by a new group of students and replaced every 5 years.

The Courier

a replica of the first page published of the Courier Mail, then known  as the Morton Bay Courier, is located on its original site

the Story Bridge can be seen by looking through a telescope within the work (as above)

other peep holes contain images of stories published by the Courier Mail about the story bridge and its construction. 

 

CICADA

this 10m long work is constructed from stainless steel clad with iridised glass which makes it change colour as the light on the work varies the work also features a sound system playing sounds of cicadas from around the world

BUTTERFLY BOOKS

Marsden Library  Marsden  Logan  Queensland  Australia:

7 butterflies with solar panels on their backs deliver books to the library. During the evening the books glow. On the ground hundreds of book titles and quotes from books (collected from library visitors) have been sandblasted into the ground. 

TOOWONG

         During the day the sun slowly opens and closes

 During the evening pinholes of light create images of local attractions within the Toowong precinct

LOO WITH A VIEW

this is a wind powered work which creates  a rotatating kalialascopic veiw of Mooloolaba beach front from within the change rooms below as well as through port holes on the upper level.
